We have wonderful things to share with you regarding our student achievement as this school year begins.
• Our students met all of the SMART goals we set last year; increasing the number of students at proficient or above in English Language Arts by 10% and also increasing the number of students at proficient or above in Mathematics by 10%.
• The number of fifth grade students at proficiency or above on the Science test increased by 12%.
• We decreased the number of students in Far Below Basic and Below Basic in every grade level
• We increased our state Academic Performance Index score by 63 points; the expectation by the state was 5 points. (723 to 787; only 13 points away from the state goal of 800)
We could not have made these gains without the students, staff and parents working together to help our students succeed.
