Valencia Park Center for Academics, Drama, and Dance is a single-track, year-round elementary school located on Skyline Drive in the ethnically diverse Valencia Park neighborhood of San Diego. We offer a high quality academic curriculum enriched by four innovative Magnet studios and creative standards based instruction. In the two dance studios students are introduced to a variety of dance styles and are given opportunities to express themselves through creative movement, while the theatre studios focus on teaching students acting, movement, technical theatre and an appreciation of the theatre. The school’s enrollment in September 2007 was 650 students in kindergarten through Grade 5 and 100 students in the state preschool program. Approximately 200 of our students are English language learners.
For over twenty years Valencia Park has been offering this dynamic program and are now teaching children of former students. Valencia Park is an ideal setting in which to exhibit the values of different ethnic backgrounds and to practice good human relations.

subgroups, will score proficient or above on the English Language Arts portion of the California Standards Test.
