Friends of Silver Gate (FSG) is a non-profit 501C (3) fundraising organization dedicated to enhancing the education of the children who attend Silver Gate Elementary School. Throughout the year FSG produces many different fundraisers where the entire Point Loma & Ocean Beach communities are invited to join in on the fun! Our largest fundraisers of the school year are the Jog-a-Thon, Harvest Festival and the Annual Silent Auction. The core to our success is our solid parent, teacher and community volunteers.

A quorum of the 13 FSG Board members votes on all matters. Advisory votes from parents, teachers and community members attending each meeting are considered by the FSG Board.
How Can I Get Involved?
Volunteers are the heart of our organization. We accept any and all help we can get! From small jobs to chairing an event, there are many ways to help!
How do I become an FSG Board Member?
Nominations for the FSG board are accepted in March. The FSG Board prepares and posts a slate of officers, which is presented at the April FSG meeting. The Board will then meet and vote on the slate. The new board is announced at the May meeting.
