This committee oversees our academic program and assists with developing the yearly budget allocations for our school. Each year our CST data is reviewed and evaluated for next steps. The committee develops yearly goals and then builds the budget to support the academic programs. Parents, teachers and administration work together to ensure that we are using our budget based upon our goals and objectives through strategies that we have determined to be effective for our students. The meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 2:25 p.m. in the Staff Lounge.
The Site Governance Team discusses and plans for all aspects regarding teaching and learning. They design and implement effective strategies for the continuous improvement of all students' achievements through quality teaching and learning experiences at school. SGT is a site-based, decision-making group created through a local agreement between San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) and the San Diego Education Association (SDEA). SGT is comprised of SDEA members, parent/community members, and others, which include California School Employees Association (CSEA) representatives. All meetings are open and parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 2:15 p.m. in the Staff Lounge.
Parent support for student field trips is appreciated. The south side of Beryl St. (across from the school) should be used for picking up and dropping students off. Teachers will escort students across Beryl St. To drive for a student’s field trip, a copy of your driver’s license and auto insurance must be filed yearly in office.
