Principal: Susan DeVicariis
Mrs. DeVicariis has been the Kate Sessions Elementary School principal for two years. Prior to her tenure as an elementary school principal, Mrs. DeVicariis was a vice principal at several of the San Diego Unified School District schools (elementary and middle level). In addition, she has served as a Peer Coach to district staff and responsible for assisting schools with implementing best practices in the classroom. Furthermore, Mrs. DeVicariis has been a classroom teacher in all grade levels Kindergarten through Sixth grade.
Mrs. DeVicariis received her Bachelor’s and Masters Degrees from San Diego State University. Her Masters degree focused on Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. DeVicariis won the Co-Administrator of the Year award in 2004. During her high school years, Mrs. DeVicariis attended The American International School of the Hague in Holland. Her experience with living in a foreign country enhances her ability to lead Kate Sessions Elementary into becoming authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School.
