We are excited about our new Roots and Shoots Club! We have over 60 members, representing all grade levels. These students meet every Wednesday after school to work together on ways to make our world better.
The children have decided to concentrate their efforts on helping shelter animals. We hae connected with a nearby animal shelter (South County on Sweetwater Road) and we are already beginning our first project. We are collecting paper tubes to make chew toys for the rabbits at the shelter. We hope to be able to visit the shelter to deliver the toys and to learn about the other animals that are living there.
WE can be proud of these Penn students who care about the creatures of our world. If you want to know more, call Ms. Sunday, Mrs. Blackhall, or Miss Jackson at 619-479-5638.
