Linda Vista serves students living within the school's attendance area, as well as those who choose to attend the school through enrollment options programs. Students range in age from 18 months to 13 in grades K-6.
Feeder Patterns
Feeder patterns dictate the way lower level schools "feed into" a given senior high school. All schools affected by a given feeder pattern are grouped together into a "cluster." Linda Vista Elementary is in the Area 3 cluster. In this cluster, students from Linda Vista, Carson, and Chesterton elementary schools will later attend Montgomery Middle School and then Kearny Senior High School. Schools within the cluster share events and activities with one another and are dedicated to maintaining strong community ties.
Registration
All students are required to attend the school serving the attendance area in which they reside, unless special arrangements have been through the Enrollment Options Office. View the attendance area for Linda Vista Elementary

Enrollment Options Programs
Linda Vista participates in two enrollment options programs, the Voluntary Enrollment Exchange Program (VEEP) and School Choice.
Voluntary Enrollment Exchange Program (VEEP)
The Voluntary Enrollment Exchange Program (VEEP) is an integration program that encourages students from communities with diverse ethnic compositions to attend schools outside their neighborhood schools. Schools with predominantly White student enrollments are "paired" with schools having predominately non-White student enrollments in order to achieve a student body diversity that more closely reflects the composition of the district and the San Diego community. Through these paired school patterns, students in VEEP can obtain a solid academic education while expanding their cultural and social awareness in an integrated learning environment. To learn more, visit the district's Voluntary Enrollment Exchange Program (VEEP)
page.
School Choice
The Choice Program provides students with the opportunity to attend a school other than their neighborhood school. Students may apply to any school within the School District, with the exception of Magnet schools. No transportation is offered through this program and enrollment is on a space-available basis. page.
