Students learn leadership skills and provide a student's perspective to help in making decisions.
The Safety Patrol Program promotes the safe crossing of elementary students to and from school and provides classroom education to maximize student safety at all times. Coordinated by the San Diego Police Department's Juvenile Services Division, Juvenile Services Team Officers select, train, and supervise fourth- and fifth-grade students to help children and adults cross safely at key intersections. Participating students learn the value of responsibility and are rewarded for their work through promotions or weekend activities. Learn more
