Balboa Elementary takes pride in its numerous community partnerships. The school actively works toward obtaining community resources and invites community members and businesses to help in a variety of ways that can support student learning. Current Partners in Education include:

Logan Heights Family Counseling Center
Family Health Centers of San Diego is a community health center that provides compassionate, affordable, high quality medical, dental and mental healthcare services.
Through our Logan Heights Family Counseling Center, we are pleased to be able to offer on-site counseling services to eligible students at Balboa Elementary. Student must have either Medi-Cal insurance or a Social Security number and no other form of insurance. We work with children struggling with: Hyperactivity, Depression, Defiance, Anger, Nervousness, Poor peer interactions, Family stressors, Drug/Alcohol issues, and more.
If you feel that a student displays any of these behaviors or may be struggling with other challenges that are getting in the way of the learning process, please notify the School Counselor. The School Counselor will complete the appropriate referral form and start the process of referring the student to counseling services.
